Although the theme annoys the heck out of me.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Anh Minh will do. (And seeing cardin back is a plus too...hehe* hope we get a new song from him too.)

I find the ads for these shows so attractive...and then when they make the dvd cover it looks sooo ACK......hahaha*
I hope this won't be too war feeling...i mean the letters are nice and what not.....but i want new original themes!!!

Don't we all look forward to what Anh Minh will do? haha. But I do agree with you that the ad posters look much nicer than the actual DVD cover. I think it's just because the ads are much cleaner and simpler; the DVDs are wayyyy too cluttered with all of the singers. I swear, they should put fewer singers on the cover and invest in a nicer insert.

Back to the theme...I'm pretty sure the only originals in this DVD will be Truc Ho songs. And there's only a few people who ever get to sing those songs. I know Cardin commented on that on one of his interviews. But that's a different story. haha.

Anyways, I wonder if I can convince my mom to take me to this show...after all, it is the day after my birthday...

^That would be so awesome if you could go! ^___^ I would make a huge banner and hold it up when AM sings...LOL*

And I love the simplicity of the ads. I agree with you about cutting the singers out of the cover and making a nicer insert.

I think they hired a better graphic designer for the posters. xD So sad...

... Asia, screw you. You made me lost hope... I really thought there were going to be a whole new rows of themes but I guess you guys made cha-ching moolla on war songs that are repeated all the time!!! D<

I just asked her and she said that it is her on the poster! (pic is from 5 yrs ago).

man.....you can only make moola for so long......i can't believe the older peeps aren't tired of these themes yet!
I mean..i wouldn't mind "war theme" if it was new songs...but its always repeated ones!

And dang... yeah, she looks a little different from five years ago. Can't say how, but there was something recognizable about her on that pic.

The videos targeting younger generation don't sell as well cuz people just download them. At least with the war themes....older generation buys them.

I really think they should let singers write songs for these themes...but I can understand that singers only know about what songs they'll be singing a month or two prior to the show.......is 3 months enough time to write great songs all the time...I mean I'm sure they could get a few good ones every now and then...but it seems like 3 months is pushing it? LOL* But i'm not a musician. nor do i know how to write music. xD

Asia will never invest any money to buy new songs. I think sells go down for the younger generation themes because there arent any new songs..... So there's no point doing a young theme if all the songs are old that wont attract us. The only time there are new songs is lame truc ho songs and if the singer write their own like AM cardin, or trish other than that Asia literally NEVER have new songs. PBN had two huge hits in a row chuyen bay hanh phuc and que huong toi i think, but i guess it cost alot of money to but new songs? I wouldnt know I'm not in the music industry... YET

Honestly, a singer can write a song in a matter of a week or two if they're that motivated and have the time for it. It's the matter of hiring people to learn that new song to record it (or you can officially do it yourself) - that will probably take another week or two to get the instrumentals. Now recording vocals, it really depends on the singers - and really, if the singer knows the song very well and sings the song in one-shot multiples of times, create harmony already, then they're good to go. This is why most singers just don't care about their recording demo and throw in a rough recording just to get it approve. Now that everything's taken care of in about a month, the song is sent into a mixer... who will take a few days to mix it. Sometimes, it takes weeks, depending on how the producer wants it to be. Now this can be done in about a month and a half if people are motivated and find the time.

Cardin and Trish wrote "The Chase" in about a week (deadlines were rushing so badly), had things done very quickly (due to Cardin's rushing of wanting to get the choreography right), and look how that turned out.

But again, war theme songs are hard to write... especially when you're looking for an older generation and trying to get new generations involved. Now that the internet has many websites for people to upload and stream videos, there are some older generations *cough*myparentsunclesauntsandgranparents*cough* who actually burn the young kids' computer by watching all these videos. Just need at least three people to get a DVD and burn copies or upload for people to watch. And if someone reports these videos and gets them removed, it's okay - more uploading. It's not that hard to create 40 emails and accounts.

Its hard to invest money into a show that won't profit.

But i still want new songs! or if they're gonna recycle....sing a song that's so old and underated....that way you can make it awesome! ^___^

I hardly believe any show that doesnt profit..... It pisses me off when I see those PBN executive go on VHn and complain... I mean we arent idiots do some basic math and we already know they profit just from the show and dvd sales are an extra bonus. We try to get PBN tickets the last two shows but they never have any VIP seating left and thats like 1 week after they commercialed it... That means they always sell out for their shows. And they say if people keep doing copies they will go out of business? Give me a break!!
At least TTA dont complain so much like PBN lol Props to TTA

^ Its not necessarily "go out of business"....but doing one of these shows are extremely expensive and majority of the time you just hope to breakeven on ticket sales.

You have to keep in mind....in order to release albums and improve as a production company....you need money.

If you noticed.....Van Son hasn't done as many shows cuz they haven't been profitting.....the more sales you have the better....if not....the execs have to pull money out of their own pockets to pay singers etc.....(surely it hasn't come to this point)....but still.....its pretty bad lately.

AM told me back then.....a good artist could sell around 20,000 albums....but now ...a good artist selling 5,000 is excellent. You basically hope to at least sell at least 2,000. That's a drastic change. Dx

Well VS dont complain about Copies that much... Plus I really envy VS they do shows in far off country and give tickets out for free to the poor people of vietnamese community so I know for a FACT VS doesnt profit greatly. And its all business if there is no profit No one will do it. Its jus a matter of ALOT of profit or SOME profit lol Vietnamese people are really greedy.. sadly enuff

VS...does complain too. I remember in like 2008 when i was watching VHN...Van Son was talking about the giveaway contest thing and he was asking people to buy ORIGINAL copies and saying how he wouldn't have any money to put on these shows and pay the singers if you didn't .....back then it seemed like a joke...but fast forward 2 yrs...and you barely see VS doing shows.

I know viet peoples can be greedy...but you really have to understand that money does make the world go round. (That's why our economy is sooo bad now......pplz are too afraid to spend their money...and without spending their money.....places lose profit and in return pplz lose jobs...and its a never ending cycle.
The better you want a show to be....the more money you'd have to put into it. Why do you think PBN's set design is always super grand compared to ASIA. They put more money into it.

Anyhoo....this show isn't until July....I hope some of the younger singers will write an original song.

Yea me too my favorite song so far written by the young singers is QK's Van Mong Em Ve and AM Giac mo trong vong tay ha. But then again its war theme theres a very slim chance they will write songs similar to my favs.

Sorry for the double post, but there's new news! (Pun not intended. XD)

According to her Facebook, Anh Minh will be singing Linh Du Len Diem with Doan Phi for this show.

So not only is it a Linh theme, but AM's singing an old song as a duet.

*sigh* I guess it was too much to hope for an original. D< Hopefully that song'll go on her CD though!

5. Stage with stair.
Cái Trâm Em Cài (Hoàng Thi Thơ) Thuy Hương & Cardin . Thùy Hương wore a knee high skirt, with her hair up in a ponytail. Cardin wore a gold jacket. This so g got remix to a very new beat, she look good in this number she finally look sexy to me, she look sexy when shes not trying to be sexy, cardin dance well it's the same as before, need a bit improvement. The song was cute thou the setting has nothing to do with "Cái Trâm"lol...all u see is cocktail glass

6. NhữNg Đóm Mắt Hoả Châu ; Trung Chỉnh & Hoang Oanh. Funally they use this song, both sounds great and has great chemistry together. They work well.

7. Bão Tình. Hồ Hoàng Yến and females dancers with white fans. She wore an áo dài dress like design, very cute think y hung outfit in Nếu Anh Đừng Hẹn, it's like a semi áo dài. She look good all over up.

8. Tiếng Ca U Hòai ; Thanh Thúy, nhac Anh Bằng, this is one of her trademark song glad to hear it again

9. kỷ vật cho Em : Thanh Lan & Vũ Khanh. Tl wore a blue ao dai with small born poka dots. Not really a fan of this song but I love watching them together.

10. Lính Dù Lên Điểm (Vũ Chương) : Ánh Minh & Doàn Phi. Love is number I think this well be my fave when DVD come out. She wore a cute mini ao dai showing her legs. It's like 'Tình ca Ngươi Đi Biển" part 2. Love them in this, cant wait to watch it again, I just love her

11. Nhịp Cầu Tri Âm : Tuấn Vũ Mỹ Huyên. She wore a half áo dài short white blue. I request by many fans. Again they have great chemistry with each other, my hyena wore a white áo dài with blue flowers, it's like ao dai meet ao Ba Ba

13. Loài Hoa Không Vỡ : Tâm Đoan
Stage set to a garden like she wore a black ao with grey and light pink colormdown e front with hair to the side she held a white rose and there an empty bird cage. The song is great and she made it came to live again, she gave me chills and tears in this song, the songs really fit her voice. Her voice was made for this type of music. But that's just to me we all gave different taste, so I won't butter up this song any more then already have, well let u guys judge the rest.

14. Le da diem lien Nguyen khang wore a suit dl in a ao dai showing her arms wow Im blew away with these 2 in this song, dl is look great and sounds great each tom

15. Kịch : Đoạn Tuyệt ( phỏng theo tiểu thuyết Đoạn Tuyệt của nhà văn Nhất Linh). Quang Minh, Hồng Đào, Nguyễn Hồng Nhung, Y Phương, Lê Anh Quân.
This kich is very good just like Chú Tư Cầu, I was really suprised because Y Phương was so good and cute in this skit and Nguyền Hồng Nhung great job her with act very really, and Lê Anh Quân doing his back accent is very well done u can tell he had to work hard

16. Mưa Đêm Tỉnh Nhỏ hoang phuong Tuong Nguyen Tuong Khue, a typical song for them, was really much to say.

17. Hát Cho 1 Người Nằm Xuống : Thien Kim
Wore a black ao dai with green flower as she sing a coffin is slowly lower down hanging In mid stage.. I like her in this number but she Been singing these type of songs alot lately I hope she have a nhac tee song soon

18. Tan co : Biet den Bao gio Lam Phuong co nhac Ngoc huyen
She came out in a white with pink strep ao day. This is her u can never out do her she did a great job with the tan co lyric and tied in with the sing very well.

19. Thuo ban dau : Pham dinh Chuong Philip Huy. This song is ok not really I press kinda made me wonder what this song has to do with the theme but it work

20. La Thu tran the Ngoc Minh Giang Tử Đan Nguyen. The song was requested by many again and they did a great job I love this number,

21. Em Có Còn yêu Anh : Lâm Nhật Tiến & Nguyễn Hồng Nhung ( Truc ho new song0
Nhn wore a grey and black dress with red lines wraps around here upper body and flow down to the side. I love it it remind of Anh con yeu em and Anh con no em. Great job they are a perfect stage match.

22. Bai tinh ca cho em Ngô Thuy mien lam Thuy van, this is a great song with a beat kinda like ban tinh cuoi. She delver this song so well and she so pretty and classy looking.

23. Tiếng Vọng (nhạc của Thái Sơn). Le Anh Quan. Not sure if this is a new song but I really like it e lyric is very touching

24. Heal the world loi viet Dieu Huong : mai Thanh Sơn & Trish.
Trish wore a pink trish very trish style

25. Nguoi ve (Phạm Duy) : Y Phương - va cac ca sĩ Asia. This a good song she deliver it well but it was kinda not good closing song but Theres a meaning in this so it's ok

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Except maybe that I really didn't like AM's hair...it kinda looked like they didn't spend any time on it at all. T_T Oh! And AM does a...er...butt dance...in the middle of the song...and the theater's reaction was... 8O...silence...silence...

I swear, I was one of 2 people who actually screamed for the singers. Yay lame old people. T_T And then I stopped after AM because the old woman sitting beside me started giving me the evil eye. XD

Kim: Oh yeahhh! I completely forgot. AM & the rest of the people listed came out towards the end of the song holding candles. They didn't really do anything though...just kinda lipsynced and swayed from side to side. haha.

Oh oh, and AM got to stand smack in the middle during the ending song this time.

just watched this performance on you tube and i LOVE it!! Anh Minh is too adorable and I can't stop watching it. I can see that the audience enjoyed it as well since they stood up and clapped. wish her picture was bigger on the poster.

It was a really cute performance. But I'm still quite not pleased with her appearance LOL ... I like her hair, but her makeup was a bit ehh and her outfit was too ... revealy for a 'linh' theme XD
